Today was the first day of soccer for Mad. The last time we did soccer she was three. The three year old soccer games were thirty long and painful minutes of her ( and all the other kids) kicking the ball in a big clump, coming to sit next to me during the middle of the game, asking every 1 minute for snack, staring off into space while the ball and the clump of kids passed by her and scoring goals for the opposing team. I am thinking three years of no soccer has been enough to let those memories lie and we are back at it. Go Penguins!!

I am going to start trying to take pics of Meg's outfits- today was this ensemble- complete with one pink flip flop and one black, both were for the left foot, and in case you cant tell from the pic the vest is sequined. She has been wearing a different headband like this every day including in bed. We call this one the Axl Rose. She also has a Boris Becker/Luke Wilson in the Royal Tennenbaums one too.

Goalie training.

Wild woman who refuses to look at the camera in the eye. Someday I hope to get an actual picture of her smiling at the camera. She is obsesse with any animal and sat next to this dog for half of the soccer practice.

One reason why I love Ann Arbor ( I do!)- the soccer coaches both have kids on the team- one shows up in business clothes to coach and the other has dreads down to his butt. Guess which one is an officer in the PTA? That just don't happen in 'Gusta, Georgia.
I want to see more pics of Meg's outfits!! I love the Axl Rose headband.
ReplyDeleteDoes Maddie seem more interested in soccer now?
